AEI is looking for a Senior Acquisitions Associate to join our team!

AEI is a successful sponsor of real estate investment funds based in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 1970, our positive track record in net-lease commercial real estate is unmatched in the industry. AEI is an institutional property buyer that has acquired hundreds of retail, office and healthcare properties in 39 states, debt-free. Each property transaction ranges from $1.5 million to $10 million. 

We are looking for a motivated, professional and organized individual to join our Acquisitions Team. This team is responsible for sourcing new properties to add to our current investment funds. 

As a Senior Acquisition Associate, the primary responsibility of this position is to support the VP of Healthcare Acquisitions efforts to close DST deals and meet our team healthcare acquisitions goals. This person acts at the direction of the VP of Healthcare Acquisitions and contributes to the team by following up on strategic “warm” property leads generated by the Research Analyst.  This person calls sellers and gathers important deal information to qualify and determine if the property is a fit for an AEI acquisition.  This is an internal sales position where prospecting is primarily by phone and WebEx presentations also using direct mail as additional lead generation.     

Essential Job Functions

  1. Contact potential sellers via phone calls and emails to qualify property leads for potential deal opportunities to include single tenant multi-tenant mix, credit profile, address, city, state, tenant, guarantor, lease economics, NOI, rent per foot, options, demographics and other key deal information. 
  2. Execute daily phone call campaigns with sellers to identify acquisition opportunities and tell the AEI story, promote track record, due diligence approach and high close ratio & all cash story
  3. Enter relevant information in the database and assign designation levels to the contact information.  Maintain regular contact with sellers.
  4. Produce reports and special projects as required
  5.  Contribute to the development of sales and marketing ideas
  6. Provide general sales support to the VP of Acquisitions and communicate on a regular basis regarding progress towards sales activity results
  7.  Assist with the preparation for trade shows, conferences, and special events

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of business or sales experience.

AEI offers attractive health, dental, and retirement benefits. Starting salary is 60-65k and is commensurate with experience.
